NOTE 5
According to Arnet(2004,2005) as cited by Fincham & Cui, "emerging adulthood" is the stage where teenagers experienced of how to be totally socially independent. This is the time that teenagers feel their sense of freedom & independence. This is also the time for curiosity & explorations. Curiosity of about choosing and having a partner, and explore this kind of curiosity that somehow leads to romantic relationship. But this kind of relationship is really not for a settling type. This is just a sort of their way in finding who they really are and what they really want in their life for just this particular time. Fincham & Cui (2011) also added "emerging adulthood" is a stage for adjustment & gaining experiences about "love and romances" to their way of having a serious relationship and be responsible enough in the sense of commitment like marriage and parenthood.
